Bills on Spheres of Advertisement, Lithosphere and Privatisation of State Property Debated
1 / 9

At July 13 extraordinary sitting, the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Babken Tunyan debated the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Advertisement authored by the Government. According to the RA Deputy Minister of Economy Varos Simonyan, the acting legislation bans showing the advertisement of the strong alcoholic spirits (the spirit content 20% and more) from 06:00am to 10:30pm, except the brandy of local production.

As a result of debate, the Committee members endorsed the draft law.

The Committee touched upon the draft law on Amending the RA Law on the Programme of State Property Privatisation for 2017-2020, and its debate was postponed at May 20 sitting of the Standing Committee for two months. The Chairman of the State Property Management Committee of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Narek Babayan assured that in fact, no amendments had been made.

The draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Code on the RA Lithosphere and the enclosed package of draft laws authored by the Government were debated in the second reading. The second reading of the package for specifying and regulating a number of items was removed from 24-hour regime procedure. The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Lilia Shushanyan noted that after joint debates the controversial all items were solved. As the Deputy Minister assured a fundamentally reviewed version was presented.

The debate of the legislative package will continue at July 14 extraordinary sitting of the Standing Committee.
